ERI's Platform Library Background
RUN ASSESSOR SERIES APPLICATIONS
ERI's Platform Library™ (ERIPL) was created as a CD-ROM platform from which all Assessor Series™ software might be more effectively run (due to execution and disk speeds, installation, and LAN usage). In addition to the main Assessor Series buttons, please see the File | Run a Program menu to review all of the applications that may be accessed from the Platform Library. Both the demonstration versions and licensed applications may be run from this menu.
VIEW INTERNATIONAL MAPS
ERI’s Platform Library provides easy access to thousands of maps for locations in the U.S., Canada and throughout the world. Simply select a location using an Assessor Series product, then click on the globe in the center of ERI’s Platform Library screen, and a map of the area selected in your Assessor Series analysis will appear. (Please note: Connection to the Internet is required for this feature. Please see “Links to Third Party Web Sites” in any of ERI’s software application Help programs.)
ACCESS SUBSCRIBER RESOURCES
ERI's Platform Library also allows includes several large non-copyrighted datasets that are useful in human resources, compensation and benefits management analyses. These datasets, in addition to links to invaluable on-line applications, may be accessed from the Resources button.
We also invite you to visit our on-line Subscriber Resources web page. From www.erieri.com,
click the "Subscriber Resources" link in the top right-hand corner.
PROXIES, 10-Ks AND SUMMARY COMPENSATION TABLES
(In 1999, ERI added subscriber Internet access to its historical archive of all publicly traded companies' proxies, 10-Ks and appraisal norms.)
The SEC now requires corporations (with stock that trades publicly) to report electronically to the SEC, including copies of annual reports (10-Ks), proxies and appraisal norms. Proxies include executive compensation data, and this reporting, too, has new requirements. Up to five officers’ pay are now detailed in each proxy, all of which are used in the Executive Compensation Assessor™ software and databases, making this application the largest executive "salary and bonus survey" in existence, with data from 14,000 firms (including five (5) positions with data each year since 1993 or over 300,000 observations). The Platform contains the latest Summary Compensation Table from these firms' proxies. This research has led to the archiving of U.S. corporation proxies and annual reports on ERI's Internet fileservers. A subscriber or inquirer can quickly access this data saving countless hours of time and frustration. (Platform or Assessor Series software database access to proxies and 10-Ks requires an Internet connection to be "active".)
NON-PROFIT 990S
An on-line application for the retrieval of proxy, 10-K, and Non-Profit information.
IMMIGRATION DATA
Projected Immigration Data
Projected Occupational Employment Statistics - Current Trends. This application is designed specifically for attorneys or corporation's assessment of the overpayment created by use of OES data in 2002.
2002 Immigration Data
OES Data - The U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Employment Statistics survey now collects salary data for 750 occupations found in 633 geographic areas representing all areas and organizations within the United States. This data is released annually as the default values that may be used for immigration analyses and submissions per GA Letter 2-98. The OES survey release provides earnings on an annual basis, including mean, Level I and Level II values (definitions used in immigration analyses). This dataset is updated from year to year (i.e., an older edition of ERI's Platform Library would not have the 2000 OES data to be used in Year 2000 submissions.)
Historic Immigration Data
Review projected Occupational Employment Statistics compensation based on 1996-1998 data for areas in
the US. Copyrighted Canadian Census earnings data were provided by Statistics Canada.

LOST WAGE ANALYSES
(Requires a subscription to ERI's Salary Assessor®.) The Lost Wages feature of the Salary Assessor software and databases was originally a sub-program of the Consultant's Assessor (DOS) software. It designed as an aid in the analysis and recovery of lost and/or future lost earnings due to disability, wrongful termination, or death.
Have you ever wished to quickly review what the Americans with Disabilities Act states regarding position descriptions? Have you wanted to review exactly what the U.S. Tax Code states regarding constructive receipt? Have you ever read the Tax Code’s discrimination requirements for self-funded medical plans, child care, or group life insurance? Now it’s possible to review these and 1,000's of other Codes and Laws that specifically affect compensation and benefits. There is no longer the need to send someone to the library to research these issues. The answers are just two "clicks away" in this compendium created specifically for a compensation and benefits manager. Data is divided among: International Remuneration, Provincial Remuneration, State Compensation, U.S. Compensation Employment, Wage/Salary, and Benefit topics/areas, along with Descriptions of Wage/Salary, Benefit, and Organizational Terms. And for greater in-depth coverage, Internet links to select State, Federal, and International data sources are referenced. Access requires an Internet connection to be "active".
ERI/WSJ EXECUTIVE INDEX
The Executive Compensation Index released by the Economic Research Institute (ERI) and CareerJournal.com. The Index tracks the total cash compensation (salary + bonus) for the highest-paid executives at a cross section of 45 major U.S. businesses. The Index results are published by ERI/CareerJournal.com each quarter and capture total cash compensation reported in the previous 12-month survey period.
